Teen Leadership Workshop Facilitator
Nina grew up in New York, a first generation Italian American. Eventually, she attended ASU and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities and English Education, then earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Chapman University, San Diego. Her passion has been teaching and leadership training. She worked at Westwood HS in Mesa for 32 years as a teacher, IB coordinator, department chair, and as the founder and director of Leadership Institute. Now, she sponsors the young women’s leadership club, Young Athenas, a chapter of the adult organization Athena of the Valley.
“Inner Circles of Confidence”
Specific confidence building strategies for young women leaders, ages 14-19.
Learn how to effectively deal with negative and derogatory comments, how to create inner circles of confidence building support, how to be financially independent, and how to write your own mission statement. In addition, we will have adult guest speakers sharing their expertise with us. Workshops are interactive and led by a dynamic group of young high school women and their mentor.
There is always a seat at the table for a sister. All you have to do is come to the table.
