Jodie Galassi-Ainlay has spent 25 years working as a Sales Professional in the relocation and moving industry.
She has been so fortunate in her life to be in a role where she knows the solutions she brings do have a direct impact on people’s lives. In some ways, the impact is greater as she is an integral part of the lives of these amazing individuals as they take a significant step in their professional journeys. She has translated all of this to her political activism and sees a huge crossover application of her skills to this endeavor. She has always been political but up until the last few years, was not what one would call active. That all changed in 2016 and now, she has found her communication skills, ability to be an active listener and drive solutions in the way individuals want to hear them, has given her a unique skill set for her work as a Precinct Committee person for the Democratic Party and activist.
Jodie is formally educated and obtained a Bachelors Degree from DePaul University at 41 years old. A bit of a late bloomer, she is a Chicago native who found her true calling 19 years ago when she moved to Scottsdale. The desert is where she is meant to live and Arizona is where she sees that she can have a lasting, positive, progressive impact.
“Can you really change someone’s mind? Having a civil dialogue.”
In this workshop you will learn skills as to how to have difficult conversations, ways of understanding your own unique perspective before you can understand someone else, active listening skills and how to be persuasive. If we have time, and for those of you who are willing, we can do some role playing to help you put to use what you have learned. Overall, this is a fun way to learn some of tried and true methods of communication and persuasion.
